Distributed Optical Fibre Temperature Sensing system (DTS) is based on Raman Scattering Theory. Raman scattering is related to the thermal vibration and sensitive to temperature, so it can be used for temperature testing. Light scattering, also known as Raman scattering, occurs in the optical fibre. Unlike incident light, this scattered light undergoes a spectral shift by an amount equivalent to the resonance frequency of the lattice oscillation. The light scattered back from the fibre optic therefore contains three different spectral shares: the Rayleigh scattering, the Stokes line components and the Anti-Stokes line components. The Stokes line components and the Anti-Stokes line components are dependent on temperature. Since the Raman scattering light is sensitive to temperature, it can measure corresponding temperature distribution along the fibre.

CABLE TUNNEL FIRE MONITORING

HIGH VOLTAGE POWER CABLE LOAD SAFETY MONITORING
After getting the data of the temperature on the surface of the cable, the system can further calculate dynamic load flow and simulate all kinds of running state by combining the real-time current to calculate the cable core temperature. By monitoring the temperature of the cable, we can find the overheat or abnormal point within the total cable length range.
TEMPERATURE MONITORING OF TRANSFORMER WINDING
By using the distributed optical fiber temperature sensing system, the temperature of the transformer winding can be measured by the fiber twined around the transformer winding. And by the continuous monitoring for the transformer winding, it is able to master the working condition of the transformer and know the defective and degradation situation of the equipment.
